At Gibson Homes, the husband and wife team of Wendell Gibson and Becky Crowe have enjoyed their partnership since 1977 when they first met as pre-teens at a local middle school. Life long residents of Charlottesville and Albemarle County, they know the area inside and out, especially helpful for clients who need to find land to build on as Becky is also a Licensed REALTOR. Their long history together makes their business a perfectly fine tuned machine, many times knowing what the other is thinking before the discussion is started. Never interested in compromising quality for quantity, Wendell Gibson has remained true to his core values of building the best possible product for clients with whom he establishes relationships and collaborates with throughout the course of the project. With Becky, a welcoming alliance is the team approach their clients can rely on. It’s been over 25 years since Gibson Homes was established and their best advertisement remains word-of-mouth from homeowner clients. Today, Wendell and Becky still enjoy the business they built and grew with little more than a dream and determination. When not at the office or a job site, you can find them spending time with friends, enjoying the Blue Ridge Mountains, or spending time with their two sons when they are home from college.

How long will it take for my house to be built?

There are several factors that help answer this question, weather being the biggest unknown.
From the time the building permit is issued, it typically takes 6 months for your house to be move-in ready.

What unknown costs might we expect?

Zero! We fully expect you to get to closing at the contract price, unless you create change orders along the way.

Who can I talk to when I have questions during the process?

We want you to come to Wendell or Becky directly if questions come up. Your thoughts are welcome!

I would like to supply my own _____________. Is that possible?

Materials and supplies are provided by our vendor partners and warrantied by those providers.

Can Gibson Homes finance construction?

Yes, we can finance your project to allow for one closing at the end of construction OR you can provide a construction to permanent financing loan. Either way, we can accommodate what suits you best.
